| How can I start this relationship with Jesus? |
|
ADMIT before God that you have sinned and fallen short of God's plan fo ryour life. Acknowledge that the consequence of sin is eternal separation from God. (I John 1:9) BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, God's son. Believe that His death on the cross is sufficient to pay the penalty of sin and that through His death and resurrection you have both forgiveness and new life in Jesus Christ. (John 3:16) CONFESS Jesus Christ as your Lord. (Romans 10:9-10) DECIDE to invite Jesus Christ to be your Savior and Lord. By prayer, in faith, you can invite Jesus to forgive your sins and to live in your life by His Holy Spirit. (John 1:12)
Friend, by sincerely praying a prayer such as the one that follows, you can receive Christ right now as your personal Savior and know you are on your way to heaven.... |

| 4 STEPS TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH |
|
STEP 1 - Read your bible daily. The easiest way to truly "grow up" in the faith is to make Bible reading a priority. Find a reading plan right for you so you won't miss anything God has written in His Word.
STEP 2 - Attend church services regularly. This is fundamental to spiritual growth. The bible encourages us to meet together with other believers (Hebrews 10:25). We'd love to have you at The Upper Room Worship Center!
STEP 3 - Get involved in a ministry group. It's the people who "get plugged in" that find their God given purpose and soar in their walk with Christ. Don't get discouraged if the first thing you try doesn't seem to fit.
STEP 4 - Pray Daily. Prayer is simply talking to God. You don't have to use big fancy words. There are no right and wrongs when it comes to communicating with your Savior. Just be yourself. Give thanks. Pray for others. Pray for direction in your life. Pray for the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit. There is no limit to prayer. You can pray with your eyes closed or open, sitting or standing, kneeling or lying on your bed....anywhere, anytime. Begin to make prayer a part of your daily routine! |
