Values are those things in life that drive and direct our behavior and beliefs. We at the Upper Room are defined and measured by these values. We strive to be authentic (real) in our lives and relationships with others. One of the top reasons people leave churches or do not come to a church is because of the "hypocritical behavior of churched people." We hold authenticity as a high value:
1. The Power and Presence of God (Matthew 3:11) It is the power of God that changes and transforms lives.
2. Family (Romans 1:21-30) God has ordained the family to be a reflection of His love and mercy here on earth.
3. Authenticity (We must be REAL!)
4. Outreach (Luke 10:2) Reaching non-christians is the reason we exist as a church.
5. Acceptence (Col. 3.13) Every person you have ever locked eyes with matters to God. God accepts people and so do we.
